Twins get rolling at tourney

WENATCHEE, Wash. — The AA Glacier Twins won two of three games in the first two days of the Apple Valley Invitational baseball tournament.

Trevor Miller hit a 2-run homer and Wade Martinson went 4 for 4 with five RBIs to lead Glacier to a 12-9 win in Thursday’s opener. In the second game, the Twins bats went cold as the team lost 8-0 to host Apple Valley.

On Friday, the Twins rebounded with a 9-1 victory against the Seattle Shockers.

Starter Cody Hill was perfect through three innings and finished with a 2-hitter. Jeremy Nielson, Miller and Zach Massen each had RBIs.

Saturday’s results were not available. The Twins wrap up tourney play today.
