Bagnell, Rausch pace Mariners sweep of Mavs

POLSON — Kyle Bagnell struck out 13 batters and allowed just one hit and Tim Rausch doubled four times and drove in four runs as the Mission Valley Mariners whipped Missoula 10-0 on Sunday in the first game of an American Legion baseball doubleheader.

Bagnell, 2-for-3, doubled twice in that contest and drove in a run.

The Mariners won the second game 6-3 to improve to 3-1 in league play, 14-10 overall.

The doubleheader was rescheduled from last Thursday.

Rausch also doubled in the second game.

Mission Valley is back in action Friday versus the St. Maries (Idaho) Savages at 3:30 p.m. in the Big Bucks Tournament in Libby.
