Woman locks keys and baby inside car

A Kalispell Police officer assisted a woman who had locked her keys inside a car, along with a 6-month-old child, on the 2300 block of U.S. 93.

After a head-on crash on Hawthorn Avenue  Sunday afternoon, a man was holding down one of the drivers who he believed to be intoxicated. There were injuries, but no one needed medical transport and apparently there were no drunk-driving arrests.

An employee at a restaurant on East Idaho apparently managed to get a purse from a woman who fled the restaurant without paying. Officers were unable to locate the woman but they have the purse.

A woman called from the 100 block of an Eighth Avenue West residence to report that a man had broken her door and was now refusing to leave. The woman returned to the residence and found that the man had left.

Early Monday, there was a report of a rear window being knocked out on a vehicle on the 300 block of Eighth Avenue East.

There was a report of items being stolen from a car on the 300 block of North Main Street.

A woman reported from the 1200 block of Seventh Avenue East that a hunting rifle was missing from the home.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got multiple reports of tree damage and power lines being down after high winds hit the  valley along with a thunderstorm Sunday night.

Deputies responded to a report of kids having a large party on the west end of Foy’s Lake Sunday evening.

There was a report of two boys throwing rocks at cars on U.S. 2 in Hungry Horse. They could not be located.

There was a report of a gun being stolen from a vehicle on the 2100 block of Montana 83.

There was a report of a confused, possibly intoxicated woman who was saying she was afraid of bears near a Montana 83 bar early Monday. A deputy gave her a ride to her home on nearby Mooring Road.
