A truck apparently took a dip in Flathead Lake because of “mechanical problems” according to the report made to Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies, who, along with the Flathead County dive team, Montana Fish and Game and the Montana Highway Patrol responded to help retrieve the vehicle found submerged about 50 feet off shore near Lakeside around 2 p.m. Wednesday. No injuries were reported and authorities say there was no fuel leakage. The vehicle was yanked out in a few hours.

Calling Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies, a Cayuse Lane woman said she was in the process of chasing her husband with knives, attempting to kill him. Arriving around 8 p.m. Wednesday, deputies saw knives stuck in the front lawn and arrested the homicidal-bent woman for assault with a weapon and assault on a police officer.

A green Coleman canoe was reported stolen from a West Glacier residence Wednesday morning.

A Valley View Drive resident was trying to round up about a dozen loose cows a little before 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Loud name-calling between women on Electric Avenue was apparently intense enough to prompt someone to alert deputies around 9:40 a.m. Wednesday.

Deputies were unable to locate the man seen beating dogs outside a Montana 35 residence around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

After running loose along U.S. 2 West around noon Wednesday, a sheep and a lamb were corralled into a nearby yard, from which they escaped before deputies could arrive.
