| June 29, 2010 2:00 AM

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday of someone in a recreational vehicle with Alberta plates throwing garbage onto U.S. 93 near Auction Road.

Someone reported that a person in a white pickup truck used fireworks to blow up a mailbox on Lower Valley Road. Deputies located a vehicle fitting the description, but it was occupied by an elderly couple who didn’t seem like the types to blow up mailboxes.

There was a report of a dog biting a woman on Meadowlark Road in Evergreen. The dog was secured by its owner and a county animal warden is looking into the matter.

There was a report of a transient who appeared to be intoxicated walking down a median on U.S. 93 in Whitefish. He could not be located.

Someone reported that horses and mules were running loose on Three Mile Drive.

Early Monday, deputies responded to a Whitefish Stage Road residence where someone was playing excessively loud music.

Deputies checked out a suspicious person who was hanging around a business near the junction of Montana 35 and U.S. 2 in Evergreen. It turned out to be a transient.

A man got reported for doing “burnouts” on Half Moon Road at about 4:30 a.m. Deputies found him at a nearby lot, where his vehicle was parked because he burned out the clutch.
