Man arrested for attempted homicide

| June 30, 2010 2:00 AM

Lake County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man Sunday for attempted homicide. The man, who is in his mid-30s according to Lake County dispatch, was arrested at about 7:30 a.m. Sunday on Cleveland Street in Ronan. Further information was unavailable; dispatch said the case is under investigation.

Kalispell police arrested a man, 27, on a warrant Monday.

A 13-year-old boy was cited for criminal trespass at the mall in Kalispell Monday afternoon.

Vehicles have once again proved unsafe places to leave valuable items; several people reported losing items from their cars. Thefts occurred on Third Avenue East, where a jacket was stolen; at the hospital, where a backpack containing a camcorder went missing, and on Woodland Drive.

A camcorder and backpack were found on Empire Loop. They don’t appear to be the same items stolen from the hospital parking lot.

On West Northview Loop, a resident may have thwarted a theft; he told police that the people in a green pickup he’d seen rummaging through vehicles scampered when he chased them.

Four young people — three adults and one minor — were cited at the skate park for neglecting to wear their helmets.

The man from North Dakota apparently hasn’t figured out that the Kalispell woman he’s been calling doesn’t want to hear from him. She reported him as a stalker.

A domestic disturbance was reported on Green Cove. The incident is under investigation.
