Whitefish, Polson split in tennis; C-Falls pulls sweep
POLSON — Whitefish and Polson split in Western A dual tennis action on Friday.
The Whitefish boys escaped with a hard-fought 4-3 victory, while the Polson girls cruised to a 7-0 decision.
Only two matches went three sets and both were on the boys side.
Christian McCurdy of Polson won 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 at No. 2 singles, while Whitefish’s No. 3 doubles team of Nick Jack and Casey Beiser prevailed 6-3, 5-7, 6-4.
In girls court action, Mackenzie Clay won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles, while teammates Whitney Zimmerman and Josie Benedetti won by the same scores at No. 3 doubles.

RONAN — It was all Columbia Falls as the boys and girls tennis squads both won by 6-1 scores over Ronan in a nonconference dual.
Two matches went three sets with Columbia Falls winning both.
Vadim Zvygelskiy, at No. 1 singles, won 4-6, 6-4, 7-5, and Franki Anderson and Peppr Borland, at No. 2 doubles, won 6-3, 3-6, 6-3.
