Man chases ex to get house key back

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Friday from a woman who said her ex-boyfriend was following her in his vehicle on Helena Flats Road because she has the key to his house. The man eventually quit following her.

A woman called from a Trumble Creek Road residence to report that a man been abusive to her, pushing her down. The woman, who appeared to have been drinking, then hung up.

A woman reported that her boyfriend threw her down and left a residence on Montana 209. It is under investigation.

There was a report of a mailbox being damaged on Lake Blaine Road.

A county animal warden is investigating an animal abuse report involving eight adult horses, three smaller horses and a dead animal found in a pasture off Jellison Road.

A rock saw was reported stolen from a porch on Prairie View Road.

There was a report of an horse that was injured when it tried to jump a fence off U.S. 2 near Kila, but it instead got stuck. The horse was eventually freed.

There was a report of a bicycle being stolen near a store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen.

There was a report of items being taken from a vehicle on Good Country Road.

Thursday afternoon, a Landmark Lane resident called deputies, concerned her neighbor was stealing rocks from her driveway.

Deputies located a 3-year-old walking along Helena Flats Road around 8:30 p.m. Thursday. His siblings apparently were in charge of babysitting the child. Deputies talked to the parents, who said they will handle the issue.

Two skateboarders heading down the middle of West Evergreen Drive were told to stay off the road Thursday night.

A dog was stolen in Martin City around  10 p.m. Thursday, a First Avenue South resident reported.

A man died, apparently of natural causes, just before midnight Thursday at an inn on U.S. 93 South.

Deputies received 173 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Kalispell Police on Thursday investigated a report of a tent in Lawrence Park that someone had been camping in for the last couple days. No one was there when an officer located the tent and confiscated it for safe keeping.

A man, 21, was arrested on a felony warrant on the 7000 block of East California Street.

Friday morning, there was a report of a purse with $400, a checkbook and bank cards being stolen at Trinity Lutheran School.

There was a report of lumber being stolen from a back yard on the 1000 block of Third Avenue West.

There was a report of two shoplifting incidents at a department store in Mountain View Plaza.

Officers responding to a disturbance involving a lot of yelling at a residence on the 200 block of Eighth Avenue West ended up arresting a man on a Flathead County warrant.

There was a report of a  recently fired, disgruntled employee making threats at the Rosebriar Inn on First Avenue West.

Two transients reportedly attempted to sell kids marijuana on Claremont Street. They denied the accusation and refused to be searched.

Two men and a woman were counseled and separated after a disturbance on the 400 block of Liberty Street.

A woman apparently accosted someone at the North Valley Hospital emergency room around 9 p.m. Thursday. Whitefish Police are handling the incident.

The man seen sleeping in the laundrymat of an RV park on U.S. 93 South was gone when officers arrived.

Officers gave an intoxicated man a ride home around 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

Friday, there was a report of a license plate being stolen from a rental car on Spokane Avenue.

Officers received 15 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Columbia Falls Police got a report of a fight at a Nucleus Avenue bar Thursday night, but there were no arrests.

Officers received 23 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.
