'Untrue' texts about boyfriend lead to fisticuffs

Punches were thrown near a coffee shop on U.S. 93 North after a teen accused another of “texting lies” about her boyfriend. Kalispell Police will handle the incident.

A 23-year-old woman was taken into custody after she attempted to steal two drill batteries and a drill, valued around $500, from a hardware and supply store on U.S. 93 South Monday afternoon.

After apparently hitting a man on the left side of the face at a Ninth Avenue West residence, a woman left in a 2002 Hyundai Accent around 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Three suspects dumped flour on the floor of a fairgrounds building Monday around 6:15 p.m. Monday.

Officers were unable to locate the three men who apparently left a restaurant on Hutton Ranch Road without paying their $40 tab Monday night.

After she was spotted with an open container, a woman was arrested for DUI and driving without insurance in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant on U.S 93 North around 10 p.m. Monday.

A woman notified police after her soon-to-be ex-husband came into her house and took photos of her in bed around 2 a.m. Monday, then returned to his hotel on U.S. 93 South. Although the man told officers a different story, they still cautioned him to stay away.

Officers received 77 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies cited an 18-year-old and 19-year-old for stealing video games from a box store on U.S. 2 East Monday afternoon.

A dump truck tipped over near the intersection of U.S. 93 and Montana 40 around 9:40 a.m. Tuesday. Whitefish Ambulance transported one person to North Valley Hospital.
