WHITEFISH — The Glacier Twins put together a total-team effort behind the plate on Tuesday, turning 14 hits into 15 runs against the Libby Loggers.

Kyler Blades and Wade Martinson each knocked in three runs and the AA Twins 10-runned Libby 15-5 in seven innings. They improved to 5-11 overall on the season.

“We’ve been swinging the bats well and it was definitely a group effort today,” Glacier first-year head coach Lindsay Fansler said.

“We played solid defense overall, our pitchers threw strikes and our bats carried us ... We’re starting to come together as a team. Every day

that’s what we’re preaching.”

Geoff Streeter had two hits and two RBIs for Glacier and Cody Elek went 3 for 3 with a double and RBI.

Libby’s Dustin Morningstar had a double, a triple and two RBIs for Libby A.

The Twins bats came alive in the second and turned in five runs. All told, Glacier got RBIs from seven different players. Starter Kyle Knox struck out four in four innings of work.

The Twins return to action today against Eureka on the road.
