Vikes top B-C state tennis
MISSOULA - Bigfork's boys are sitting first and the Bigfork girls are tied for second after second-day action at the Class B-C state tennis tournament on Friday.
The Bigfork boys totaled 26 points, five better than Missoula Loyola, which is second. Valley Christian is next with 19.
Chinook has 22 points in the girls competition to 16 for Bigfork and Cut Bank.
The Bigfork boys have advanced Bridger Mahlum to the singles finals and Ryan Gembala and Evan Jordt to the doubles championship.
The Bigfork girls have one finalist - Jade Bosic in singles.
The consolation round begins today at 8 a.m. Singles championships will be held at 10 a.m. with doubles a noon start.
All matches will be played at the University of Montana.
