Eva Mae Christofferson, 90

Eva Mae Christofferson, 90, passed away peacefully from natural causes on Friday, May 21, 2010, at her home in Hamilton. She was born Jan. 18, 1920, in Somers, to the late Howard and Olevia Trusty. Eva was married to Ted Christofferson on July 29, 1942. The couple were married 62 years. In those years, they enjoyed camping, traveling and spending time at their cabin on Bitterroot Lake with their family. Eva was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed reading, playing cards and socializing with her many friends and family members. Eva is preceded in death by her son, David Christofferson; and her husband and best friend, Ted Christofferson. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Gosney, of Kalispell; and granddaughters, Sonja Cawood of Kalispell, Amber Looney of Meridian, Idaho, and Tiffany Gosney of Missoula. Eva had one great-grandson and three great-granddaughters. She also leaves behind her precious companion, her dach-shund, Heidi. The family suggests memorials be made to Aspen Hospice of Montana, 230 Marcus St., Hamilton, MT 59840. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, at the Libby Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.
