| November 3, 2010 2:00 AM

Kalispell Fire Department personnel on Monday doused a small fire on the outside of a home in the 400 block of Third Avenue West shortly after it was reported at about 6 p.m. The fire caused only minimal damage to the building and the lone occupant of the house was not home when the fire was reported by a neighbor. The fire appears to have been started by someone, though it is not clear whether or not it was set intentionally, according to a fire department spokesperson.

Animal cruelty was alleged after a dog was seen tied to a picnic table while a band played on Central Avenue.

A man accused of stealing a pair of gloves was seen at a business on U.S. 93 South.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received reports of theft on Helena Flats Road, Trails End Drive, Smith Lake Road, O’brien Terrace North and Tacklin Creek Road.

A hit-and-run collision was reported on Central Avenue near Whitefish.

Assaults were reported near U.S. 2 East and South Many Lakes Drive.

Fraud was alleged on East Mountain Meadow Road.
