Cat burglar taken to shelter

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office personnel caught a stray cat and took it to a shelter after the allegedly vicious feline entered a cat door at a home on Shadow Lane and attacked the homeowner’s cat.

Apparent squatters were ordered to leave privately owned property on Reservoir Road near Whitefish. A group of three people had set up a camp that included three vehicles, a small trailer and a camper.

A transient reportedly refused to leave after a business owner found him sleeping on a bench near U.S. 2 West in Marion.

Alarms

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a possible electrical fire at a business on North Main Street. Employees and customers evacuated after smoke was seen. Nothing caught fire. The electricity was turned off and power company employees made repairs.
