Burglaries reported at storage units

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office responded to two separate reports of burglaries at storage units. On Egan Slough, someone entered a unit and stole items, though it was not known exactly what was missing. Two storage units were burglarized on U.S. 2 East after someone cut the locks.

A 15-year-old girl was arrested for partner/family member assault after she allegedly hit her father on South Woodland Drive. A 16-year-old girl near Cobbler Village was counseled by deputies after allegedly punching, kicking and spitting on family members during a dispute.

Twenty-five to 30 cattle were seen on railroad tracks near Meadow Lake Drive. They were gone when deputies arrived.

Someone stole items from a vehicle near Montana 35.

The owner of a vehicle parked on private property near Stillwater Loop was asked to move along.

Road rage was reported after a driver on Hartt Hill Road said another driver pulled over and screamed obscenities at him.

A man on Birch Grove suspected his daughter had pawned stolen tools.

A lock-box was damaged at a home on Winter Lane in Whitefish.

Two males were seen trespassing on a deck near Paxson Pass Trail.

On Emmons Canyon Road in Kila, a woman reported that a neighbor’s dog attacked her cat two months ago.

A vehicle reported stolen on Shady Lane was actually repossessed.

A marijuana pipe was found on a table at a business on U.S. 2 East and handed over to deputies.

The Kalispell Police Department was notified after an elderly man became angry at two boys for barking at his dog on First Avenue West North. The boys’ mother reported that the man threatened them and screamed obscenities.

A man on Merganser Drive reported a burglary believed to have occurred over the weekend.

An iPod and a GPS device were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on First Street West.

A dog on East Arizona Street was accused of using “the neighborhood as own personal restroom.”

On Eighth Avenue East, a man reported that his niece had stolen and pawned a DVD player valued at $400.

A cat was taken to the shelter after biting a girl on South Meadows Drive.

On Appleway Drive, a woman said her husband threw a pizza at her and pushed her.

Two rifles and a camera were reported stolen from a vehicle on College Avenue.

A 5-year-old boy was returned to his family after he was inadvertently left at a restaurant on U.S. 93 North.

The Whitefish Police Department responded after an allegedly suicidal 15-year-old girl escaped from North Valley Hospital’s intensive-care unit by climbing out of a window. She was found and returned to the hospital.

A man was arrested after a purse was reported stolen on Spokane Avenue.
