Crash into power pole sends sparks flying

The Kalispell Police Department responded to a crash on McMannamy Draw after a vehicle collided with a power pole. Lines were down across the road and sparks were seen shooting from the wires, but none of the three occupants of the vehicle were seriously injured.

The owner of a vehicle parked off of U.S. 93 North used snow to douse an engine fire.

A dog reportedly bit a girl in a parking lot near Hutton Ranch Road.

Two women reported their purses stolen at a grocery store on First Avenue East North. One was located but the other is believed to be gone.

A purse was stolen from a customer at a bar on Woodland Park Drive. The theft was recorded by a surveillance camera.

Someone stole a vehicle from a business on West Center Street. It was found several hours later.

An 18-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stealing a vehicle. He was found at a business on West Idaho Street.

On Eighth Avenue East, several items were stolen from two vehicles. Among the missing items were a knife, .22 caliber rifle and a bag.

Smoke began emanating from a furnace on Palmer Drive, prompting several individuals to flee the home. The fire was contained to the furnace.

Two rifles were stolen from a home on Hodgson Road near Columbia Falls, according to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office.

On Hillcrest Drive, a man wearing all black was accused of trying to enter two different vehicles before apparently leaving the area.

A hit-and-run collision was reported on West Idaho Street after a red semi-truck collided with a red pickup truck and fled. The driver of the semi later called to report the collision.

Someone rifled through a vehicle on Mission Way, but nothing was taken.

A woman on Shady Lane said her mother was refusing to return her property after she moved out of their home.

A man on Shady Lane reported a woman for using drugs in their home, adding that he is a recovering drug addict.

An investigation is under way after a 1-year-old on Canyon Road outside Hungry Horse was seen with bruises.

Sheep were reportedly being harassed by a dog on Browns Meadow Road near Kila.

A debit card was stolen on Sleepy Hollow Road.

Trespassing was alleged after a woman refused to leave a man’s home on Colorado Avenue.
