COLUMBIA FALLS - Fourteenth-year head coach Greg Trenerry has the same hope every coach does at this point in the season - that his team is peaking at the right time.

The Columbia Falls girls soccer team seems to be doing just that.

The second-place Wildkats blanked Frenchtown 7-0 in a nonconference girls soccer game on Tuesday, winning their sixth game in a row.

McKenzie Kiser scored her 19th and 20th goals of the season and teammate Danielle Delventhal added Nos. 14 and 15 for the Wildkats (9-2 overall, 6-1 in Northern A).

"There was a lot of things that looked really good," Trenerry said. "The defense did a real good job of cleaning up anything and not allowing much back there."

Julia Burgi had a goal and assist and Cedar Jordt upped her team-leading assist count with a pass to Madison Sandefar, who scored at the start of the second half. Jordt has eight assists this season. Delventhal is next with six.

Columbia Falls hosts first-place rival Whitefish on Saturday at 11 a.m. Both teams are already guaranteed playoff spots for next week's opening round.

"Hopefully they'll peak at the right time," Trenerry said.
