Man evaluated after allegedly firing pistol

Kalispell Police Department officers detained a man on Third Avenue East after he shot a pistol out of the window of a home. The 69-year-old was taken into custody to evaluate him.

Someone on First Avenue East said that they were receiving text messages from an inmate who apparently had a cellular phone in jail.

On East California Street, a person reported that they located a four-wheeler that was stolen several days ago. Police confirmed it was the stolen vehicle.

A 15-year-old girl was cited for shoplifting and released to her mother at a business on North Main Street.

A woman near the intersection of Fifth Avenue East and 18th Street East called police when a former roommate refused to return her clothing.

A man in a white sweatshirt was reportedly walking near First Avenue East and attempting to open the doors of parked vehicles.

On Fly Way, a resident reported finding tire tracks and a large hunting knife in their yard.

A pallet was thrown through the window of a truck on U.S. 2 West.

Someone with the Republican Party reported campaign signs had been vandalized on West Idaho Street.
