LIBBY - Polson gave up an early goal, but the Pirates answered back with two for a 2-1 Northern A boys soccer victory over Libby on Saturday.

Polson (6-0-1 league) tied the match at 1-1 on a goal by Giorgio Traini at 12 minutes. Trevor Moll then scored the game-winner eight minutes later.

"It was a back-and-forth game," said Libby coach Charlie Webster.

"Two evenly matched teams.

"Polson capitalized on their corner kicks," Webster said.

"They had three and scored on two."

Libby (9-2-2 and 5-1-2 league) and Polson tied in their other outing earlier in the season 0-0.

"At least four times (Glacier has lost by one goal).

"Overall, the team is working very hard," O'Rourke added.

"I see a lot of good things happening on the field. We had some good performances from the guys. Ian Cavigli (sweeper) played very well, solid in the back for us today. I feel like our keeper Sean Peters is getting better every game. That's immensely helpful. They never give up, always come out with a good attitude. They're a fun group to coach."
