Phyllis Edith McChesney, 92

Phyllis Edith McChesney, 92, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, at her home in Kalispell. Phyllis was born on Jan. 1, 1918, in Hannah, N.D., to Ole and Edith Hazlitt. She was raised in the Dakotas and in Detroit. Phyllis married Herbert M. Hazlett in 1942 in Lima, Peru. Her second marriage was to Robert M. McChesney in April of 1963; they were married for 36 years. Phyllis enjoyed traveling and had many opportunities to fulfill this desire with her family throughout the years. She was dearly loved by her family and will be missed very much. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Herbert M. Hazlett and Robert McChesney. Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Hazlett, of Kalispell; a sister, Roberta Case, of Oregon City, Ore.; grandchildren, Dan and Jennifer Leavitt, of Kalispell; great-grandchildren, Rachel Leavitt and Robert Leavitt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
