Bravettes to play for first place

MISSOULA - The regular season isn't over yet.

Chelsea Shuman notched a pair of goals to hike her season total to 13 and second-place Flathead shutout Missoula Big Sky 2-0 on Saturday to set up a final game against league-leading Missoula Sentinel.

Flathead will play the Spartans at 3 p.m. on Monday in a make-up game to decide first place in Western AA.

Flathead improved their record to 7-1-3 and will host a playoff game sometime this week.

Koestner scored on an assist from Amber McCann in the 72nd minute.

Glacier (2-6-4) plays at Missoula Big Sky on Wednesday at 4 p.m. in a playoff match to decide a state tournament seed.

HELENA - A banged up and under the weather Glacier squad dropped its final game of the regular season, finishing 3-8-1 for sixth place in Western AA.

Glacier heads on the road for a playoff game this week that is to be determined.

"Another tough game for us, the team performed well though," Glacier coach Ryan O'Rourke said. "We're very much looking forward to our playoff game."
