John E. Pederson, 74

John E. Pederson, 74, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, at HospiceCare in Fitchburg, Wis. He was born July 11, 1936, in Valley City, N.D., the son of John and Mary (Gilbertson) Pederson. Prior to his retirement, John had been employed by Clark Oil Co., as a territory sales manager; he also drove trucks and was a school custodian. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korea Conflict. On Dec. 7, 1985, John was united in marriage with Judy Gosdeck in Columbia Falls. In addition to his wife, Judy, of Marshall, Wis., survivors include four children, Sandy Scheurer and Dave Robbins of Lincoln, Ill., Carol and Steve Newman of Lake Forest, Ill., Lyrae and Dave Nadolski of Sun Prairie, Wis., and Shawn and Barb Arnold of Marshall; 12 grandchildren, Jacquelyn, Bryson, Blaine, Jazmyn, Brian, Eric, Melyna, Madelyn, Mitchell, Elizabeth, Kalinda and Dante; one brother, Pete, and Mary Pederson of Lakeside; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and his stepfather. There will be no local services.
