Eureka downs Troy in 7B volleyball tournament

THOMPSON FALLS - Selene Elster led Eureka's strong attack with 18 kills as the Lions defeated Troy 25-13, 25-16, 23-25, 25-17 on Friday in District 7B volleyball tournament play.

Eureka totaled 49 kills in the match to Troy's 23.

Eureka moves on to face St. Ignatius in a winners' bracket match today at 3 p.m. That winner advances to the title match at 7.

St. Ignatius upended Bigfork on Friday, 25-19, 25-22, 25-11.

Mallery Knoll had nine kills for Bigfork and 11 digs.

Bigfork plays a loser-out match today against host Thompson Falls at 11 a.m.
