Vehicle peepers run from police

Whitefish Police Department officers responded to a report of two men and two women prowling vehicles on Central Avenue. They ran when approached by a person who later called police.

Someone drove away from a business on Wisconsin Avenue without paying for $37.13 in gasoline.

A man carrying a pumpkin-shaped basket and walking door-to-door on Wisconsin Avenue was acting suspiciously, according to a caller.

Another report of suspicious activity was made on Baker Avenue where a caller saw a man beating stone columns with a rolled-up newspaper.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of thefts on Riley Lane, Jellison Road and Mooring Road in Columbia Falls and on Electric Avenue in Bigfork.

A party was reported on Airport Road outside Kalispell.

A dog reportedly bit someone on Rose Heights Lane near Kalispell.

Trespassing was reported on South Cedar Drive near Kalispell.

Someone called about a runaway child on Steel Bridge Road near Kalispell.

Someone reported being stalked on Conrad Drive near Kalispell.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an assault with a weapon on Second Street in Polson.

A theft was reported at a church on Seventh Avenue West in Polson.

Fraud complaints were made at a business on U.S. 93 in Polson and on 16th Avenue East.

Partner/family member assault was alleged by a caller on Pache Lane in Polson.

A burglary was reported on Finley Point Lane near Polson.

The Montana Highway Patrol responded to non-injury collisions on Meridian Road in Kalispell and on Jellison Road and Montana 35 near Columbia Falls.
