HELENA - Lexy Boschee had 14 kills and Paige Latimer had 34 assists, 14 digs and three service aces in a losing effort on Saturday for the Glacier Wolfpack.

The Wolfpack (4-1, 2-1) bounced back from an 0-2 deficit to force a deciding fifth game against the Helena High Bengals, but fell 15-6 in the last game.

Helena won 25-15, 25-17, 24-26, 20-25, 15-6.

It was the Wolfpack's third match this week.

"We got off to a slow start in the first two games, battled back in set three - good work in set three- and played well in set four," said Glacier coach Christy Harkins.

"And then Monica Grimsrud happened."

Grimsrud finished the night with a match high 16 kills.

"We got a little tentative in set five. We didn't quite play with the heart we need to play with a good team. I was proud of the way they battled back. We'll keep working at developing some consistency," Harkins said.

"We did do some good things today. We probably ran out of a little gas too," she added.

"I thought Cassidy Hashley played a great match. She was aggressive at the net, served aggressively," the coach said.

The Wolfpack is off now until Thursday when it takes on Billings West at CMR in Great Falls. It follows that with the Great Falls Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

Kills - Gla 40 (Lexy Boschee 14), HHS 39 (Monica Grimsrud 16, Tatum Teegarden 12); Blocks - Gla 3, HHS 11 (Grimsrud 6); Assists - Gla 34 (Paige Latimer 33), HHS 40 (Kyndal Williams 38); Digs - Gla 78 (Latimer 14, Kendra Bouley 14), HHS 70 (Grimsrud 17, Williams 16); Aces - Gla 12 (Latimer 3, Cassidy Hashley 3), HHS 13 (Williams 4, Grimsrud 4).

EUREKA - St. Ignatius won the third and fourth sets to pull away from Eureka in District 7B play.

The scores: 25-20, 15-25, 25-23, 25-14.

St. Ignatius (1-0 league) was led by Jen Larsson's 13 kills.

Eureka (1-1), which totaled six more team kills, was led by Selene Elster's 18.

"Mission is a good team," Eureka coach Rhonda Hammond said.

"They have a good group of kids.

"We have work to do, but the kids are eager," Hammond added.

"We'll get there."
