BIGFORK - Caitlin Charlebois and the Bigfork girls soccer team had some pent-up scoring to do, apparently.

Charlebois scored three of her four goals in the first 15 minutes, Quinci Paine added three goals of her own and the Valkyries earned a feel-good first win on Tuesday, beating Stillwater Christian 12-1 in nonconference action at home.

"I felt like it might have been a little pent-up. The girls were really ready to get out there and run," Bigfork coach Charlie Appleby said. "They were on today and playing as a team. That's everything they've been trying to do. It just clicked today."

Bigfork's two senior captains - Charlebois and Paine - combined for seven goals and three assists in a game that the Vals' owned from the first minute.

"That's how good Caitlin is to be perfectly honest," Appleby said. "Quinci looked great out there too."

Kenna Hauns, Taylor McElroy and Miranda Miller each had a goal and assist while Jessica Killian added a goal for Bigfork (1-3).

McKenzie Hemp scored Stillwater's lone goal in the 80th minute.

Bigfork hosts Whitefish on Thursday at 4 p.m. Stillwater hosts the Cougar Classic this Friday and Saturday.

Stillwater 4, Bigfork 2

BIGFORK - Ryan Cook scored twice including the go-ahead goal in the second half and Stillwater Christian held off Bigfork in nonconference boys soccer on Tuesday.

Cook scored the first goal of the game and Daniel Jentz followed later in the first half to put Stillwater up 2-0. Bigfork rallied with two-straight goals, by Austin Gordon and Fabian Zavala, but Cook retook the momentum for Stillwater for good with a score late in the second half. Derek Vander Ark added the insurance goal.

"Our guys fought hard, came back, lost a little momentum and then found a second wind late in the second half. But we didn't put any in the net," Bigfork coach Keith Koslosky said. "I liked a lot of what I saw tonight. Regardless of the results, I liked what the boys were doing tonight."
