Norma E. Evans, 90

Norma E. Evans passed away Sept. 6, 2010, in Kalispell. She was born Feb. 5, 1920, in Great Falls, and spent her early years living in Canada. She met and married Albert Evans in Great Falls and moved to Whitefish in 1945, where she was a resident for 55 years, prior to moving to Kalispell. Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Evans; and daughter, Shirley Evans Mills. She is survived by her two sons, Jack A. and Cherri Evans of Morrison, Colo., and Leonard Butch and Sharon Evans of Kalispell; three grandchildren and their spouses, Rick and Penny Evans, Tina Evans of Colorado, and Shawn and Heesuk Evans of Virginia; and three great-grandchildren, Sebastian Evans of Colorado, and Alex and Allie Evans of Virginia. Norma was very active and a longtime member of the Whitefish Moose Lodge. Her favorite pastimes were fishing, gardening and sewing. Norma will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, at Austin Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, at Glacier Memorial Gardens.
