Two injured in Kalispell knife fight

Kalispell Police responded to a knife fight between two men at the intersection of 18th Street East and Fifth Avenue East. One man pulled a knife on the other and an altercation ensued. One man had injuries to his hand and the other’s face was slashed. Their names and potential charges were not known as of press time.

A man was deemed suspicious after knocking on a stranger’s door on Eighth Avenue West and asking for a cigarette.

Someone broke a lock and stole a bicycle on Eighth Street West. A bow and arrow were taken from a vehicle on 12th Avenue West. On Fourth Avenue West, a purse was taken from a vehicle. A cell phone was taken from a locker on the same street.

A caller told officers that the same man has trespassed at a building on First Avenue West three nights in a row to use the bathroom.

Graffiti was painted on a building near U.S. 93 South.

A large transient camp was found in Lawrence Park.

A wallet and phone were reported stolen on East Idaho Street.

Someone drove into a power box on Parkridge Drive.

Two men who were seen “hugging and loving each other” near Fir Terrace left the area after a caller reported the apparently suspicious scene to Flathead County sheriff’s deputies. Both men were intoxicated.

A shoplifter escaped with $30 in cosmetics from a business on U.S. 2 East. Her boyfriend kindly admitted her guilt to deputies.

An incident of road rage escalated when one driver allegedly waved a gun at another on West Reserve Drive.

A wallet was stolen from a vehicle on Lakeshore Drive. Meanwhile, a wallet was found on Ashley Lake Road without any identification.

Someone took a generator and other property from a shed on Silver Leaf Drive. Another burglary was reported on U.S. 2 West where tools were taken from a trailer.

Theft by an employee is being investigated on U.S. 2 West.

People were seen fighting at a Somers boat landing. Everyone was gone when deputies arrived.

A woman in Hungry Horse called deputies and said she had been beaten. Deputies determined it was unfounded, and that the woman was very drunk.

An iPod was taken from a vehicle on Birch Grove Road.
