Man chases one woman, another chases him

Near the intersection of U.S. 93 South and Kelly Road, someone told Kalispell police officers they saw a man on foot chasing a woman across the highway. Later, at the same location, someone said a different woman was chasing the man and beer bottles were being thrown at him. Everyone was counseled.

A purse was either stolen or lost at a business on North Main Street.

Someone was seen looking into vehicles and trying to open them on Third Avenue East.

A vehicle tire was slashed on Second Avenue West.

The contents of a stolen purse were found strewn across a yard near Fourth Street West.

A woman on First Avenue West called officers after smelling what she believed to be marijuana smoke.

Officers counseled a man and woman on Cooper Lane after someone reported they were yelling screaming around children.

A motorcycle was stolen on 13th Street East.

People staying at a hotel on U.S. 93 South said unruly guests were throwing things around, banging on walls and making a lot of noise. They were gone when officers arrived.

A boy was caught shoplifting at a business on Hutton Ranch Road. Another male fled from the scene.

The front door of a business near the intersection of East Center Street and Fourth Avenue East was shattered. A cash register was left intact and officers don’t believe the apparent vandals entered the business.

An angry resident of Summit Circle reported that a neighbor had torn down part of a fence.

A kid was apparently shooting birds with a pellet gun near Sixth Alley West.

Officers counseled a man accused of beating his children on Farview Drive. The man told officers he was spanking his child, and admitted to raising his voice.

The victim of a wallet theft on Paint Horse Lane told officers the thief has attempted to use stolen credit cards at least three times.

A child reported missing on Hawthorn Avenue was found at a nearby birthday party.

Officers responded to a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. 93 North and Hutton Ranch Road at about 1 p.m. No serious injuries were reported, though one woman said she had neck and back pain.

The Montana Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision at about 5 p.m. Friday on U.S. 2 at Hodgson Road. A Chevrolet pickup attempting to cross U.S. 2 was struck by a southbound Subaru Legacy. A woman and boy from the Subaru were taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center, as was the man from the pickup. The injuries didn’t appear to be life-threatening.
