Roommate fight ends in arrest

Kalispell Police Department responded to a convenience store on U.S. 93 South at 2:48 p.m. Sunday after a woman reported that her roommate hit her in the back of the head. A woman was arrested.

A man was taken into custody after someone reported that a man, woman and 2-year-old child were panhandling in the 100 block of Hutton Ranch Road at 9:40 a.m. Sunday. The 2-year-old was reportedly holding a sign.

Two men were taking a survey about tissue in the 200 block of Fairview Drive at 9:40 a.m. Sunday.

A black bear was digging through garbage in Lawrence Park at 8:48 a.m. Sunday. The bear subsequently went back into the river area.

A theft of a purse was reported in the 1200 block of Sixth Avenue West at 8:04 a.m. Sunday.

A man was taken into custody in the 700 block of East California Street at 3:52 p.m. Sunday after he was in an alley fighting with a woman. The man reportedly had been drinking and wouldn't leave the woman's house for the second night in a row. The man allegedly hit the woman in the stomach area.

A man was taken into custody and charged with shoplifting in the 100 block of Third Avenue East North at 12:57 a.m. Sunday.

A man was bleeding from his mouth and knocked out in the 300 block of South Main Street at 11:26 p.m. Saturday. The man did not wish to press charges.

A woman complained about a dog "messing on her yard" on Vanderbilt Drive Saturday evening.

A woman reportedly tried to throw a brick through a business in the 200 block of Second Avenue West at 6:55 p.m. Saturday. The window did not break.

A former tenant complained that the landlord changed the lock on her place of residence in the 200 block of Second Avenue West at 6:07 p.m. Saturday. There was a notice on the door.

Someone was passed out at North Main and Sunset Boulevard address at 5:58 p.m. Saturday.

A lock was cut and a mountain bike stolen in the 400 block of Fifth Street West at 5:03 p.m. Saturday.

A male employee at a hospital reported that a patient hit him with his water bottle at 3:54 p.m. Saturday.

Lake County Sheriff's Office arrested a man after he had an altercation with a woman at 8:50 p.m. Saturday in Pablo.

A woman was arrested and charged with assault and tampering with a witness at 1:58 p.m. Saturday at an Arlee grocery store.

A report of a sex offense on Hillcrest in Polson was being investigated after a call came in at 5:27 p.m. Saturday.

Alarms

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to car in a ditch on Sunday near the intersection of Lost Creek Drive and Farm to Market Road.

Firefighters also responded to a small grass fire on Apple Way.
