Crowbar reportedly used against car

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday afternoon from a woman who said her boyfriend was bashing her car with a crowbar at a residence on U.S. 93 north of Kalispell. It turned out that both people were intoxicated, and the incident is under investigation.

Sunday morning, there was a report of a juvenile male who was on the Hubbard Dam Road after running away from the Wilderness Treatment Center in Marion. The juvenile later returned to the facility on his own.

There was a report of antlers being stolen from a cabin wall in the Hungry Horse area.

A Terry Road resident reported that a window was broken out of a vehicle.

A male called to report that he been assaulted by six individuals at a Friday night keg party in the Tally Lake area.

Someone reported that there was a sport utility vehicle on U.S. 2 in Evergreen that was carrying three unbelted toddlers. The vehicle could not be located.

Someone reported that a boyfriend and girlfriend were fighting along U.S. 93 south of Kalispell, but they could not be located.

A Lake Blaine Road resident reported that he returned to his home to find that things were missing from the house and there were suspicious tracks in the driveway.

There was a report of a knife, a hatchet and other hunting gear being stolen from the back of a truck on Latigo Lane.

A Newberry Circle resident reported the theft of a skateboard from outside the home.

Kalispell Police were called when a black bear, possibly a cub, was seen walking down North Main Street. The bear was later seen on Charlotte Avenue, U.S. 93 and Arizona Street before responders lost track of it.

Mail fraud was alleged after someone on First Avenue West saw two men tampering with a mailbox. The men had not stolen mail, but did dump an empty soda can in the mailbox.

About 30 gallons of gasoline was apparently siphoned from a vehicle parked at the Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Vandalism was reported at a business on Airport Road.

Someone on Glenwood Drive called police so he could “clear his name” after being accused of a theft and burglary.

Officers were called by someone claiming to have knowledge of potential shoplifting at a business on Hutton Ranch Road.

A teenage girl on Third Avenue East was accused of being unruly, slamming a door and letting a dog out of the house. Officers said it was a family issue.

An assault was reported on Three Mile Drive.

On First Avenue East North, someone reported seeing a mother hitting her son in the face. It was referred to Child Protective Services.

A possible burglary was reported on Seventh Avenue West after a homeowner found a damaged door.

Children on bicycles were blamed for causing damage to a building on East Idaho Street.

A man on West Arizona Street said his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend keeps parking in front of his home and displaying obscene gestures.

A scorned employee at a business on East Idaho Street was accused of making threatening phone calls to his former co-workers.

Someone in a motor home On Railroad Street called officers when an unknown person began beating on the vehicle. A responding officers counseled an intoxicated woman, and the caller did not wish to press charges.
