Fischer, Smith golf medalists at Libby Invitational

LIBBY - Cody Fischer and Ashton Smith picked up individual honors while team titles went to Glacier's boys and Polson's girls on Friday at the Libby Invitational golf tournament.

Polson's Fischer was the lone golfer to break 80 at Cabinet View Golf Club, shooting a 78 for a four-shot victory over Louis Cielak of Libby and Jake Williams of Flathead.

Browning's Smith carded a 91, which gave her a six-stroke victory over Alex Dulmes of Ronan.

Glacier shot 357 to finish four shots ahead of Columbia Falls and Polson.

Polson's girls finished with a 420, which was good for a 16-stroke advantage on runner-up Columbia Falls.
