Local residents will gather at 1 p.m. today at the law office of Hinchey and Hinchey, located at 118 S. Main St., in Kalispell, for a reading of the U.S. Constitution.

The reading will take place in the second-floor event room.

The Kalispell event is being held in conjunction with readings nationwide in celebration of Constitution Day.

The public is invited. Those in attendance will have an opportunity to participate by reading aloud a portion of the Constitution. Refreshments will be provided.

According to event organizer Justice of the Peace David Ortley, “This event, and the hundreds like it across the country, is our way of expressing respect for the importance of the nation’s founding charter and its relevance today.

“It is an opportunity for ordinary Americans to gather in recognition of those who forged this nation and the role that the Constitution plays in our daily lives.”
