Sheila A. LaVelle, 72

Sheila A. LaVelle, 72, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, at her home in Kalispell. Sheila was born on Jan. 31, 1938, in Terry, to Jeff and Louise (Bragg) LaVelle. She was raised in Miles City, Glendive, then when she was 12 years old moved to Butte where she attended junior high and high school. Sheila worked for Kelly Hardware, GMAC, Mountain States Telephone Co., LaVelle Power Co., and Dugdale Excavating, before going to work for U.S. West Communications in 1973. She retired in 1990. Sheila loved to vounteer at the food bank, as well as other places that needed help. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, and putting together her butterfly collection. She is survived by her children, Bill LaVelle, Jeffry and his wife Tracy LaVelle, and Jennifer LaVelle; grandchildren, Bill LaVelle IV, Ben LaVelle, Jessica LaVelle, Mikle LaVelle, Dustin LaVelle, Nathan LaVelle and Paul Barrows; and eight great-grandchildren. A celebration of Sheila s life will be held at 1 p.m. today, Sept. 18, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home, with Bishop Mark Robison officiating.
