Logan Pass access to be limited to east side of Glacier

Starting Monday, motorists wanting to get to Logan Pass will have to drive from the east side of Glacier National Park.

At midnight today, access from the west side will shut down for the year to clear the way for intensive reconstruction work on Going-to-the-Sun Road.

Gates will be set up at Avalanche Campground.

Hiker and bicyclist access will be allowed beyond the Avalanche barricade depending on road construction.

Logan Pass will remain accessible from the east side of the park until Oct. 18.
