Tale of a man, a dad, a debt and a dog

Kalispell Police counseled a man and his father after a dispute involving a debt and a dog was reported. The son said the father owed him money, and the father said the son had taken the dog and threatened to kill it.

Two boys near Third Avenue East and 12th Street East were seen carrying what appeared to be a gun. The caller said it could have been a toy, but wanted officers to check. The boys were not located.

A woman was arrested for assault after an incident on U.S. 93 South.

Someone told officers they found their stolen jewelry at a business on South Main Street.

Kids were accused of theft at a school on Wolfpack Way.

A landlord on Fifth Avenue West said evicted tenants returned and took property without permission.

A possible case of animal cruelty was reported on Fifth Avenue East North.

A man on Merganser Drive allegedly pushed his wife and threatened her with a gun.

On Batavia Lane, a man said his wife wouldn’t let him leave his house. Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputies counseled the arguing couple, and the man was allowed to leave.

Someone who was visiting Alaska called after a neighbor told him that a vehicle had driven over a bicycle on Addison Court.

An elderly man returned home safely after a worried caller reported he had not returned from hunting beavers on River Road near Columbia Falls.

A chainsaw was reported stolen by someone in the Columbia Falls area.

A 16-year-old boy from Kelley Road skipped school and was reported as a runaway.

People were reported for “squatting” at property on Two Mile Drive. The owner of the property told deputies they could handle the situation without law enforcement. Deputies asked another group to move along after a similar report on Pleasant Valley Road near Marion.

A lawnmower was taken from a home on U.S. 2 West.

A girl reportedly stole money from family members on Buffalo Square Court.

On West Reserve Drive, a woman reported she was being followed around by a man. The man was counseled by deputies.

A deputy removed a piece of an air conditioner that had apparently fallen from a vehicle and was blocking traffic on U.S. 93 South near Whitefish.

Nothing was reported missing from a home on Rockwood Road after the owner found a door open.

Bullet casings were found on a playground near West Evergreen Drive.

A bicycle was stolen from a home near Ridgewood Drive.
