Albert L. Lee Draeger, 80

Albert L. Lee Draeger, 80, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, at Heritage Place in Kalispell, of natural causes. Lee was born Dec. 11, 1929, in Sherwin, Kan. He attended schools in Sherwin and in Hallowell, Kan. He entered the U.S. Army in November 1951 and was honorably discharged in October 1953. In 1955, he married Betty June Owen in Sherwin. They were married for 55 years before Lee passed. Lee worked as a farmer and later as a masonry contractor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening, as well as breeding French Brittany gun dogs. Lee is survived by his wife, Betty J. Draeger, of Kalispell; son, R.C. Draeger, of Kalispell; daughters, Becky Anderson and husband, Joe, of Condon, and Deb Doney and husband, Allen, of Bigfork; brother, Marvin Draeger, of Columbus, Kan.; grandchildren, Kristi Dorcheus and husband, Nathan, PFC Dale Doney, Christopher Anderson and Nicholas Anderson; and great-grandchildren, Javien, Jaylean and Kobe Dorcheus. Visitation for Lee will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today, Sept. 23, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 24, at the Little Brown Church in Bigfork.
