Helen Marie Everett, 94

Helen Marie Everett, 94, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, at the Kalispell Regional Medical Center, following a heart attack in Kalispell. Helen was born in Silverton, Ore., on March 13, 1916. She was the only child of George and Ida Elton. Helen attended school in Silverton, graduating in 1934. While visiting in Kalispell, she met her future husband, Lyal Everett. Helen and Lyal were married on Dec. 29, 1937, in the parsonage of Central Christian Church in Kalispell. They were married for 52 years when Lyal suddenly passed away Dec. 30, 1989. Helen was a homemaker who loved her Lord, family, flowers, gardening, fishing and traveling. A highlight of her travels was a trip to the British Isles with her two daughters. At the time of her death, Helen was one of the oldest members of the Central Christian Church. She enjoyed attending her Women s Prayer Group every Wednesday morning. She was a charter member of Eastern Star. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyal; and grandson, Joel Conrad. Helen is survived by her daughters, Loretta and Charles Conrad of Kalispell, and Janice and Doug Knapton of Columbia Falls; and a son, Lynn Everett, and Virginia, of Portland; grandchildren, Wade and Star Conrad of Aloha, Ore., Todd and Bobbie Conrad of Kalispell; Kari Conrad Mockabee and Ty of Kalispell, Shawna and Jay Korth of Denver, Scott and Belinda Knapton of Cut Bank, Brenda and Kelsey West of Portland, and Bryan Everett and fiancee Sharon, of Portland; 12 great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, and one step-great-great-grandchild. A memorial service for Helen will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25, at the Central Christian Church in Kalispell, with Lois Lyford officiating. Prior to the memorial service, there will be a family burial at the C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
