The Flathead boys held Missoula Big Sky to only one goal in the first half, but the Eagles came alive in the final 40 minutes to pile on four more scores as Big Sky won 5-0 in Western AA boys soccer play on Saturday.

Jonas Loelkes had two goals and Tyler Smith notched three assists for the Eagles (3-4 overall). Nate Goodburn earned the shutout in goal without stopping a shot.

"We did all right in the first half, then we just had a couple defensive breakdowns. Big Sky's solid," Flathead coach Chris Putzler said.

"We had good, hard play again from Hunter Madich and Monty White. They played their tails off."

Flathead falls to 0-6 on the season. The Braves head to Glacier on Thursday for a crosstown match.
