Columbia Falls rolls past Whitefish
COLUMBIA FALLS - Niki Birky was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI and Erika Nelson and Shaun Rowe added one double each as the Columbia Falls Wildkats downed Whitefish 11-1 in a Northwestern A softball matchup on Saturday.
Columbia Falls, which scored four runs in the first inning, improved to 3-0 overall, 2-0 in conference.
Madison Tveidt hit a triple for Whitefish (0-2, 0-2) and Baylee Tveidt had one RBI for the Bulldogs.

LIBBY - Libby bounced back from a loss to Frenchtown to drop Timberlake High School from Spirit Lake, Idaho, in five innings.
Both games were nonconference.
"The girls played well," Libby coach Dean Thompson said.
"Frenchtown is a solid team.
"Some of our younger kids played well for us," he added.
"We had a couple girls gone this weekend."
Rebecca Kyriss went 3-for-3 for Libby against Frenchtown.
Lexi Hageness and Candace Hendrickson both had two hits for the Loggers (2-1) against Timberlake.

MISSOULA - Loyola used a quick start to win the first game of a doubleheader, scoring 11 runs in the first inning, and then had to rally for a victory in the night cap.
Eureka jumped out to a 5-3 first inning lead in the second game, but Loyola came through with another 11-run inning, this time in the second, to pull away.
Tasha Gray and Cassidy Morgan both singled and drove in runs in the opener for Eureka.
Hannah Price went 3-for-3 for Eureka in the second game, while Kodi Shaefer had two hits in three trips to the plate. Price doubled and also drove in two runs.
Alina Peacock, 1-for-3, had two RBI for Eureka in the second game.
