It was almost all Glacier as the Wolfpack lost just one outing in a tennis dual with Flathead on Tuesday at the Flathead Valley Community College Courts.

The Glacier girls posted an 8-0 victory over the Bravettes, while the Glacier boys left the courts with a 7-1 triumph.

Flathead's Andrew Klinginsmith spoiled Glacier's bid for a perfect day, winning 6-7 (8), 7-5, 7-5 at No. 2 singles over Izaak Castren.

"A fabulous match to watch," Flathead coach Buck Measure said of Klinginsmith's victory.

"It was one of his first real varsity singles match and he seemed to overcome the pressure of being out there on his own. He played quite well."

Quintyn Menegazzi of Glacier and Jeremy Zug of Flathead had the other tight battle of the day, with Menegazzi prevailing 7-5, 6-4 at No. 3 singles.

Glacier's girls did not drop a set in three of their four singles matches.

"Pretty good day finally, finally good weather, at least better (that what we've had)," Glacier coach Josh Munroe said.

"The lineup is taking shape, it's pretty solid.

"These were good building matches (for us)," he added.

"We worked on strategies and some other things."

Up next for Flathead and Glacier is dual action versus the three Missoula schools on Saturday in Missoula.
