Sentinel, Big Sky hitters unload on Glacier

Too many hits and too many home runs spelled trouble for Glacier's softball team on Tuesday in two Western AA outings at Kidsports Complex.

Sentinel had 15 hits and a home run by Nikki Anderson to blank the Wolfpack 11-0.

In the next outing with Big Sky, the Eagles had 13 hits and four home runs - Bayle Frost, Jessie Schoker, Andie Walt and Kelsey Lucostic - in a 16-6 victory.

Glacier struggled offensively against Sentinel with two hits, but came back with nine versus Big Sky.

"We're giving up too many hits right now," Glacier coach Joel Bemis said. "We're committing a few errors, but that's to be expected early on. We gotta shore things up and we'll be OK."

Baylee Quay and Sabrina Kenfield both went 2-for-3 for Glacier against Big Sky.

Kenfield doubled and drove in two runs.

Paige Latimer, 1-for-3, also doubled for the Wolfpack (1-5 overall, 1-2 league).

Glacier's next action is Saturday at home with Helena, noon, and Helena Capital, 2 p.m.
