Polson whips Hamilton in softball

HAMILTON - Kylie Knutson and Ashley Johnson both went 2-for-3 to power Polson to a 12-1 nonconference Class A softball victory over Hamilton on Thursday.

Knutson doubled and drove in a run, while Johnson had two RBI.

Sallie Sams and Martina Marquardt also had two RBI for the Pirates.

Polson (4-1) did all of its scoring in three innings, with three in both the first and third and six in the fourth.

Shalaina Duford checked Hamilton on four hits.

The Broncs were held scoreless until the fourth inning.
