Dead rabbit is unpleasant discovery

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a call from someone on Paradise View Court who found a dead rabbit stuffed in a mailbox.

Deputies responded to a physical disturbance on Whitefish Stage Road after a man said a woman would not give him his inhaler. The woman said the man assaulted her.

A woman on Pleasant Hill Drive said her drunk ex-boyfriend came to her home and stole her child’s piggy bank.

Threats were reported by a Flathead County employee who said he was verbally assaulted after telling someone that “Dumpster diving” was illegal at a county dump sight.

An animal control officer helped rescue a black Labrador retriever seen struggling in a river near Conrad Drive. The waterlogged canine was taken to a shelter.

A woman on U.S. 93 South reported a vehicle stolen after she went to pick it up at a dealership and was told that someone else had already taken it.

A man on Solberg Drive wanted advice on how to deal with an unruly 15-year-old son.

On Montana 35, a woman said she was assaulted by her next-door neighbor.

Deputies took a report of a burglary at a home near Rose Crossing. The owner of the home said a saw, air tank and tool box were stolen.

A woman accused a man of giving marijuana to two teenage boys on Grasshopper Hill Road.

A landlord on Montana 206 complained that a former tenant left a dog behind.

Threats were reported by a caller on Many Lakes Road who reportedly received a harassing message on Facebook.

Deputies spoke to a woman on Black Bear Lane in Bigfork who was angry that a horse she recently sold was returned to her property.

Suspicious activity was reported on Bitterroot Drive in Marion where a caller said someone was living in a vehicle parked in the woods. Deputies spoke to the man, who was taken to a hospital for a mental health evaluation.

The owner of a dog on Wildebeest Lane in Marion was warned after the canine charged someone who was walking in the area.

Deputies investigated a report of suspicious activity on Stillwater Forest Road where a man and woman were seen holding a cardboard sign with the words “need cell phone.” The couple said they were living in a van on their own accord.

A woman walking on Edgewood Drive said an unknown man pulled up in a vehicle beside her and exposed himself. He then drove down the road, turned around, stopped and exposed himself again, she said.

Youths on skateboards were accused of knocking over a can of oil in a driveway on Ridgewood Drive and then becoming belligerent with the property owner. They later cleaned up the mess.

Someone was seen throwing fireworks at vehicles on Shady Lane.

A cook at a business on Somers Road in Somers received a threatening message from an anonymous caller.

Extra patrols were requested on Pickleville Road in Somers after someone noticed the door to his or her vehicle was left open by an apparent would-be thief.
