Missing girl found in North Dakota

The Kalispell Police Department got a call from someone wanting access to a hotel room on North Main Street where a 13-year-old girl had left her cellphone. The caller said the girl was missing in North Dakota and that information in the phone could help in the search. The girl was found safe in Medora, N.D., Thursday morning.

A package was stolen from a porch on Eighth Avenue West.

An employee at a barber shop on South Main Street said a customer was being verbally abusive.

A bicycle was reported stolen by someone on Woodland Park Drive.

A man at a casino on U.S. 2 East called after his wife, who he said was drinking, refused to give him her keys.

Someone on Vista Loop said that a large amount of fireworks were lighted on her porch, apparently without her permission.

A woman on U.S. 93 North reported that she is getting calls from collection agencies about her ex-husband’s debt. She divorced him 11 years ago, she said.

Suspicious activity was reported on U.S. 93 South after a man reportedly offered to give an 11-year-old girl a ride home.

Officers transported an elderly man to a hospital for a mental evaluation after he activated a fire extinguisher and attempted to throw it through a door at a medical facility on Liberty Street Wednesday night.

A fight was reported outside a business on U.S. 93 South.

Child Protective Services personnel responded to a home on Greendale Court after a 3-year-old child, apparently unattended, wandered into a neighbor’s house for the third time this year. The mother had been warned twice before.

A woman on Fourth Avenue East said that her estranged boyfriend stole her vehicle while she was taking a shower.

On Third Avenue East, a woman called police after noticing that her vehicle’s dome light was on. Someone had rifled through the vehicle but nothing was taken.

Officers responded to a disturbance on Seventh Avenue West after a dispatcher overheard a man and woman fighting during a dropped 911 call. The man said the woman hit him in the face with a bottle and broke his phone. They were separated.

Medications were reported stolen by a woman on Sixth Street West.

A woman on Liberty Street said she saw someone peeking in a window of her home. She also said that pain medication and cash has recently been stolen from her home.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report from a property owner on Circle Drive in Columbia Falls who threatened to use a gun on people who were lighting off fireworks in the area.

Someone slashed the tires of vehicles parked at a home n East Evergreen Drive. A caller said it was the third time the vehicles have been damaged.

A man on Wade Drive in Columbia Falls said his girlfriend’s sister assaulted him while he was arguing with his girlfriend.

A woman reported that a man and woman were using drugs in the presence of young children at a home on Montana 35.

Suspicious activity was reported on First Avenue South in Hungry Horse where a woman said someone was driving around the block and cursing at her while she was having a yard sale.

Harassment was alleged on U.S. 93 south of Whitefish after a woman said her neighbors accused her of throwing antifreeze and bleach on their vehicles.

Possible underage drinking was reported on a dock at Foys Lake where three young people were seen with beer. They were gone when a deputy investigated.

A bad check was passed at a fireworks stand on U.S. 2 East.

A ring was stolen on Aussie Tree Lane.

Scrap iron was reportedly taken from a yard on Gordon Avenue near Columbia Falls.

A man was caught shoplifting at a business on U.S. 2 East.

A woman on Montana 35 said her boyfriend assaulted her.

Possible drug use was reported on First Street Southeast in Hungry Horse. A woman said she could smell meth and “taste it in her mouth.”

The Montana Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision on Montana 83 near mile marker 67 Thursday afternoon. Two people had neck pain but no serious injuries were reported.

No one was transported for medical attention after a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Shady Lane and Montana 35 at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
