Accused batter flees from deputies

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man who fled in a vehicle after someone reported that he broke a window with a baseball bat in Kalispell Thursday night. He was apprehended near Lakeside on Stoner Creek Road after leading law enforcement on a pursuit and then attempting to hide behind a building.

A man on Sunday Lane said he fired a warning shot into the ground after his wife saw two people with flashlights in their yard at about 12:40 a.m. Friday.

An employee was caught stealing at a business on U.S. 2 East.

A woman on Hidden Lane called 911 when her husband started yelling at her and telling her to get out of bed and go to work. He said he was stressed after recently being laid off.

Two pit bulls were taken to a shelter after they growled at someone on Columbia Falls Stage Road.

Stereo equipment was stolen from a truck on West View Drive.

A man staying at an inn on First Avenue West said his wallet and belongings were gone when he woke up.

Golf clubs valued at about $3,000 were reported stolen on Sherwood Lane.

An intoxicated woman was asked to leave a restaurant on East Idaho Street after she broke dishes during an argument with others at her table.

A father asked an officer to speak to his 6-year-old son after he was caught stealing money from his mother’s wallet.
