Donny Dean Carrell, 76

Donny Dean Carrell, 76, passed away on June 9, 2011, at Port Isabel, Texas, of natural causes.

He was born Oct. 28, 1934, in Marland, Okla. He graduated from high school in Jerome, Idaho, and from college at Idaho State University in Pocatello.

In 1958, Donny married Doris Cocek in Pasadena, Calif. They were married for six years and then divorced.

Donny was an avid bird watcher, and also enjoyed traveling and fishing. He was retired.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorene Carrell; his father, Everett Carrell; his brother, Jimmy Carrell; and his daughter, DeAna (Carrell) Zattosky.

Donny is survived by his daughter, Diane Carrell, of Kalispell; granddaughter, Keaton Koski, of Kalispell; great-grandchildren, Kelly Koski, Donovan Koski and Victoria Koski; sisters, Donna Calkins and LaRita Sue Rost; and brother, Duane Carrell.

Cremation has taken place. The family will hold private services and scatter his ashes at a later date.
