Plane dusts truck as well as crops

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report from a man who said a small crop-dusting plane sprayed his semi-truck as he was traveling down Montana 35 Wednesday morning. The driver later learned he could not be harmed by the substance and was content to drop the issue.

A pistol was stolen from a vehicle on Van Sant Road.

Someone reported that a pony and horse kept in a field on Ashley Lake Road looked like they were not being fed.

On U.S. 2 East near Columbia Falls, a caller said someone shot holes through a stove.

A weed-eater and pressure washer were stolen from a garage on Whalebone Drive.

A woman on Canyon Road in Hungry Horse accused a neighbor of trying to steal her dog.

Deputies spoke to a woman on Shady Lane who was alarmed after receiving a letter from an inmate at Montana State Prison. It’s possible he was trying to reach someone else who has the same name, deputies said.

An employee was accused of stealing from a business on South Main Street.

Feral cats are reportedly becoming a problem in a subdivision on Sun Rise Road.

An iPod was stolen from a vehicle on Foy’s Lake Road while the owner of the vehicle was swimming. Footprints were also left on the vehicle, according to the owner.

Someone drove over a mailbox on Woodland Road.

An attempted theft was reported on Lake Hills Drive in Bigfork. The owner of a vehicle said someone tried to steal his stereo.

A caller on First Avenue South said a woman wanted to fight him or her after she asked for alcohol and the caller refused.

A group of youths were told to go home after they were seen digging through Dumpsters on West Evergreen Drive.

On Wednesday night, Kalispell Police Department officers were unable to locate a woman who stole two large hunting knives from a business on Hutton Ranch Road. An employee called police while the woman was in the store, but she was gone when officers arrived.

A hit-and-run collision was reported in a parking lot near West Center Street.

Someone stole a mountain bike out of a garage on South Meadows Drive.

Suspicious activity was alleged on Fifth Avenue West North where a man was reportedly going door to door saying he was with Homeland Security, according to a caller. The man was actually trying to sell home security systems.

A man was arrested on suspicion of driving drunk after his truck crashed into a telephone pole at the intersection of Two Mile Drive and West Springcreek Road.

A stolen gun was located at a pawn shop on West Idaho Street.

Two youths were seen playing on the roof of a building on Grandview Drive.

Someone on South Woodland Drive called to complain that a helicopter was making too much noise. The caller was told not to call 911 for a noise complaint.

A resident of Seventh Avenue West said people leaving a party cursed at him or her after they were asked to quiet down.

A woman on Fifth Avenue West reported that a man sleeps in a car in front of her home every night. Officers spoke to the man and told him he can’t camp in city limits.

A woman on Sixth Avenue West reported that her boss impersonated her during a telephone call.
