Thief leaves own keys in stolen car

Kalispell Police officers located a vehicle that was taken from a home on West Washington Street less than two hours after it was stolen. The owner said he had left the keys on the seat. Later, the owner found the unknown suspect’s keys in the vehicle and said he would drive around looking for the owner by using the remote control on the key ring.

A woman barred from a business on Hutton Ranch Road for alleged shoplifting was escorted off the premises after she entered holding a young baby.

A dog reported stolen from a vehicle on U.S. 93 North was found in the parking lot.

Child abuse was alleged on Third Avenue East North after a caller claimed a woman was slapping children and locking them inside a vehicle.

On Indian Trail Road, a woman said she was getting threatening text messages from a man whose house was recently raided by law enforcement.

A man was allowed to leave a business on Hutton Ranch Road after he was initially questioned as a suspect in the theft of an Airsoft gun that was stolen on Tuesday.

License plates were stolen off a vehicle parked on South Meridian Road.

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies investigated a report of suspicious activity from a man on U.S. 93 South near Whitefish who said his window “exploded” as he drove past a business that sells guns and ammunition. He said there were also dents in his door.

The owner of a Ford Mustang said he discovered it was stolen while it was parked near Montana 35 early Thursday morning. He later found the vehicle near Springcreek Road with a shattered windshield.
