Joe Pistorese held Glacier's Twins to five hits and smacked a walk-off hit in the seventh inning as the Kalispell Lakers rolled to a 10-0 AA American Legion baseball victory on Tuesday at Griffin Field.

Pistorese's hit scored Dillon Matteson from third base. The Lakers loaded the bases in that inning with no outs.

The game ended on the 10-run mercy rule.

Pistorese went the distance on the mound, fanning 10 and walking four as the Lakers moved to 7-10 in Western play and 34-18 overall.

Kalispell has won 30-plus games five out of the last six seasons. It was also the final meeting of the regular season for the valley rivals. The Lakers won three of the four battles.

"This was a huge game for both teams," Lakers coach Ryan Malmin said.

"We're fortunate to come out with a win."

The Twins had runners on second and third with no outs in the second inning, but Pistorese struck out the side.

Dominic Eickert, 3 for 3, and Dillon Eaves, 3 for 4, keyed the Lakers offense. Eickert clubbed a double and drove in three runs. Eaves finished with two RBI.

Sean O'Connell made some big defensive plays for the Lakers at third base.

The Lakers host Medicine Hat for a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 1 p.m.
